This privacy policy applies to the Aethra app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by GxDevs (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service (with future paid plans). This service is intended for use "AS IS".


Information Collection and Use

The Application collects certain information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
  • The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
  • The operating system and device model you use on your mobile device
  • Anonymized usage analytics and crash logs to monitor stability and performance

Offline-First & Local Data Storage

Aethra is designed with an offline-first architecture to respect your privacy. Please note the following regarding your personal journal data:

  • Journal & Media Content: All journal text, mood values, health statistics (sleep index, caffeine levels), and media files (photos, videos, voice notes) are saved strictly locally in the Application's secure on-device database. We do not host, store, or transmit your journal entries or files to external servers.
  • Biometrics: Biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock) is handled locally via Android's secure hardware BiometricPrompt API. Your biometric templates never leave your device.
  • Local Security: We implement device-level security features such as screenshot protection (FLAG_SECURE) and Decoy PIN modes to secure your local database from physical access.

Future Paid Plans & Billing

In the future, the Application may offer paid subscription tiers or premium features. All financial and payment card transactions will be processed securely through Google Play Billing. The Service Provider does not collect, process, or store credit card details or financial credentials.


Device Permissions

To support advanced features, the Application may request access to the following hardware capabilities:

  • Camera & Microphone: To attach photos, videos, and voice recordings to journal entries.
  • Biometrics: To authenticate access locally.
  • Notifications: To deliver daily mindful reminders.
  • Location: (Optional) To automatically fetch local weather metadata for reflection entries.

Third Party Access & Integrations

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application. The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies. Below are the links to the privacy policies of the service providers used by the Application:


Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.


Data Retention Policy

Since your journal entries and media are stored locally on your device, you can delete them at any time by clearing the Application's storage or uninstalling the app. For any automatically collected analytics and crash logs, the Service Provider will retain anonymized data according to Google's standard policies. Children

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, they will immediately take actions to purge it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at garvitplayconsole@gmail.com.


Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information they process and maintain.


Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
